Email is the way to reach us. A person reads every message.

We reply within [confirm: for example 2 business days]. Include the email address on your account and, if it is about a story, the story's title and date. Please do not attach voice recordings.

Common questions

A story was not right for my child

Open the story in the player and tap Report. Choose what was wrong and add a note if you like. You can remove the story from your library at the same time. Reports are read by a person and are used to improve the rules the story model follows.

The voice does not sound like me

Go to Voices, delete the voice, and record again in a quiet room, reading slowly in the voice you use at bedtime. The app plays one test sentence after recording so you can check before you keep it.

Audio stops when I lock the phone

Lamplight plays in the background and shows controls on the lock screen. If audio stops, check that Lamplight is allowed to run in the background in your phone's settings, and that low-power or battery-saver mode is not closing it. If it still stops, email us with your phone model and OS version.

I ran out of credits

Credits are spent only when audio is made, 1 for a 5-minute story, 2 for 10 minutes, 3 for 15. Replays are always free. Plans and monthly credits are in Settings and on the terms page. If audio failed, the credit was refunded automatically; if it was not, email us.

Restore a purchase on a new phone

Cancel my subscription

Subscriptions are managed by the App Store or Google Play, not inside Lamplight. Cancel in your store's subscription settings. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel billing.

Export my data

Settings, Export my data. You get a file with your child profiles, topics, and story text.

Delete my account or my voice

See the delete account page. It covers the in-app path and the email path.
